Cafe Manager
We are a busy, fast-growing local coffee shop looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to join our leadership team. We are passionate about serving exceptional coffee, fresh baked goods, and creating memorable in-house events that bring our community together.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a cafe (it will be considered an asset), coffee shop, bakery, or restaurant. Previous barista experience with strong knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee art.
- Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and daily operations
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the cafe.
- Lead, train, and support a team of baristas, bakers, and front-of-house staff.
- Ensure every guest receives outstanding customer service and a welcoming experience.
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages while supporting the team during busy periods.
- Oversee daily baking production and ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
- Plan, organize, and manage in-house events from setup to completion.
- Create staff schedules and manage labour costs.
- Monitor inventory, place supply orders, and reduce waste.
- Maintain cleanliness,
food safety, and health standards throughout the cafe.
- Handle opening and closing procedures, cash management, and daily reporting.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Build a positive, team-oriented workplace culture and lead by example.
- Ensure all company policies and operating procedures are followed.
