Compensation Range: $62.09 - $73.05 per hour

Position Summary:

The Manager, Finance Transformation & Internal Controls is responsible for leading finance transformation initiatives, strengthening internal controls, improving financial processes, and supporting technology-enabled enhancements across the finance function. This role will help ensure financial accuracy, compliance, operational efficiency, and audit readiness while partnering closely with Finance, IT, Operations, and external stakeholders.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role suited to a finance professional who can combine solid accounting and controls knowledge with project leadership, systems expertise, and continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end finance initiatives, including ERP enhancement projects, process redesign, workflow improvements, and reporting enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of financial reporting and operational finance processes.
- Develop project plans, coordinate stakeholders, monitor timelines, and ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate the internal control framework, including Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), business process controls, and IT General Controls (ITGC) within finance.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify control gaps, recommend remediation plans, and monitor progress through completion.
- Support cash reserve management and forecasting processes to help ensure the organization can meet financial obligations.
- Serve as a finance subject matter expert for accounting systems,



ERP functionality, reporting tools, and system configuration changes.
- Drive the adoption of automation tools, advanced analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and dashboards to improve decision-making and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments on system access, configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation activities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, finance policies, sales tax requirements, and internal procedures.
- Maintain documentation that supports compliance, external audit readiness, and consistent execution of finance processes.
- Support reporting improvements and ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and available for management decision-making.
- Manage finance-related partner relationships, including budget processes, funding increases, payments, and related reporting.
- Build effective working relationships with internal departments, external auditors, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate financial risks, process changes, and project updates clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management to the Purchasing and Finance team members.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development planning.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Must possess a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)



designation and a university degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical finance process and system solutions.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to partner effectively with Finance, IT, Operations, external auditors, and business leaders.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial or technical topics in practical terms.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance, accounting, internal controls, audit, financial systems, or transformation experience.
- Experience with internal or external audit, Internal Control over Financial Reporting, IT General Controls, risk assessment, control remediation is an asset.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems; Meditech experience preferred.
- Experience with data analysis, automation, AI-enabled analytics, dashboards, or reporting tools such as Power BI is an asset.
