Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Hospital Operations, the Manager of Rehabilitation Services provides strategic, operational, clinical, and administrative leadership for rehabilitation programs at St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of rehabilitation services of both sites of St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre (Lasalle and South Bay Road), ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-informed, and person-centred care. Working closely with physicians, professional practice leaders, interprofessional teams, community partners, and organizational leadership, the Manager will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager of Rehabilitation Services will:

- Provide operational and clinical leadership for rehabilitation services, ensuring programs align with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
- Lead and support an interprofessional team by providing coaching, mentoring, performance management, attendance management, and career development.
- Promote excellence in patient care through evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives, and professional practice standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and community partners to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care across the continuum of services.
- Support program planning, service development,



and implementation of innovative models of care.
- Monitor program performance, quality indicators, and Ministry reporting requirements while ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management to optimize service delivery.
- Foster positive labour relations by working collaboratively with Human Resources and union representatives to address employee and collective agreement matters.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational effectiveness.
- Support strategic planning and organizational initiatives while promoting the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. Joseph's Health Centre.

Qualifications

Education

- Degree in a regulated health profession or an equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience.
- Current unrestricted registration with the applicable Ontario regulatory college, or eligibility to obtain registration.

Experience

- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of progressive leadership experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience within a hospital, continuing care, or rehabilitation environment.
- Experience leading interprofessional healthcare teams.
- Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
- Experience in clinical program development, project management, or healthcare service redesign is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications and healthcare information systems.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
