Compensation

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands-on professional who enjoys keeping a production setting running smoothly. The successful candidate will support a busy, multi-shift operation by ensuring materials, components, and work orders flow efficiently throughout the facility.
This role suits someone who takes pride in staying organized, anticipates the needs of the production floor, and contributes positively to a collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
This significant position is on the day shift.
Position Description
- Coordinate material movement and placement throughout the production floor, working closely with planning staff to keep work centers supplied and ready.
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials required for upcoming work orders.
- Serve as a secondary resource for unloading inbound shipments.
- Perform cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Keep staging areas clean, organized, and aligned with workplace housekeeping expectations.
- Support general facility tasks that may include basic maintenance duties, production support activities, and general labour functions across departments.
- Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and internal policies that contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.
- When required, assist other areas of the plant which may involve tasks tied to machining, assembly, deburring, grinding, sawing, sandblasting, or shipping activities.
- Take part in improvement initiatives designed to enhance workflows, material handling methods, and production processes.
- Participate in training sessions to expand skills and stay current with evolving operational needs.
Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or similar production environments.
- Understanding of basic inventory principles and comfort working within an ERP system.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, simple drawings, and routing information.
- Competency with standard hand tools, basic power tools, measuring equipment, and common material handling equipment.
- Strong communication abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
- Good organizational habits, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining deadlines.
- Problem solving skills with an interest in finding practical, effective solutions.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
