We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead a team of Mechanical Designers in a custom automation workplace. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing custom machine design projects from concept through manufacturing while ensuring quality, resource planning, and on-time project deliver y.
Responsibilit ies
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Mechanical Design ers.Manage engineering resources and project priorit ies.Review and approve mechanical designs for quality, manufacturability,
and complia nce.Support custom automation projects from concept through manufacturing and commission ing.Collaborate with Manufacturing, Controls, Project Management, and Sales teams. Drive engineering standards, continuous improvement, and technical problem-solv ing.
Qualifica tions
8-10+ years of mechanical design experience in custom automation, machine building, or special purpose equi pment.Previous leadership or team management exper ience.Strong SolidWorks s kills.Experience with machining, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, servo systems, and industrial autom ation.Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent industry exper ience.
