SaskAbilities is looking for a dedicated Mentor to support participants in employment programs in Saskatoon. This full-time, temporary role focuses on developing employability skills and individualized plans for each participant. As a Mentor at SaskAbilities, you will play a crucial role in assisting participants of the Partners in Employment program.
Your responsibilities will include creating person-centered plans, providing onsite mentoring, and facilitating skill development for successful community employment. Additionally, you will monitor progress, identify accommodation needs, and introduce effective strategies to enhance participant success. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop person-centered plans to improve employability skills
- Provide in office mentoring to participants employed in the community
- Monitor participant progress and adapt plans as needed
- Facilitate communication and education for support teams
- Assist individuals in building self-management skills Requirements:
- Disability Support Worker/Rehabilitation Worker Certificate or equivalent
- 2-3 years experience in Human Services Field
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources
