About the Project
You will be part of our Hazel McCallion LRT project, playing a key role in driving its success and contributing to one of Canada’s most exciting infrastructure projects.
About the Job
We are hiring a MEP Project Coordinator to step into a new role on our Construction team on the Hazel McCallion LRT. This position reports to the Deputy Construction Director.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Ensure adherence to Project Safety policies.
- Oversees and facilitates the installation of equipment and components for the project to ensure contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
- Serves as a liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.
- Participates in project meetings and facilitates regularly scheduled meetings related deliverables for the project.
- Support integration of project data such as but not limited to schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports and performance data etc.
- Interpret designs and drawings for technicians
- Track RFIs, Shop Drawings, As-built drawings and other project documents.
- Proactively identifies and works to resolve any site issues that may impede the project delivery.
- Provides technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors.
- Prepare the areas to handover to Systems activities as per critical rooms.
- Ensure that all the punch list is solved
What We Are Looking For?
- Educational and experience requirements include a four-year construction or engineering related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- 5 years of experience in construction, including experience with both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
- Experience on transit or rail projects is a large asset.
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents.
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others a must.
Expected Compensation
Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $90,000.00 CAD - $110,000.00 CAD The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependant on the specific project to which you are assigned.
