Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Metallurgical Technician to support laboratory and pilot-scale research focused on precious and base metal extraction. The successful candidate will assist with experimental test work, laboratory operations, data collection, and equipment maintenance while working closely with our R&D; team. This is an exciting prospect for someone passionate about metallurgy and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale metallurgical test work on ores, concentrates, and tailings.
- Prepare samples including crushing, pulverizing, splitting, screening, and weighing.
- Prepare reagents and process solutions.




- Perform hydrometallurgical experiments including leaching, filtration, washing, and solution sampling.
- Conduct chemical analyses including pH, ORP, titrations, and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS).
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and prepare technical summaries.
- Assist with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Hands-on laboratory experience.
- Experience operating analytical instruments such as Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and conducting chemical sample analyses.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the gold extraction or hydrometallurgy.
- Familiarity with leaching technologies and recovery methods.
