Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Engineering Design Coordinator to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating and supporting the design processes across various engineering disciplines, ensuring project milestones are met with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will facilitate seamless collaboration between design teams, manufacturing, construction, and project management, contributing to creative system designs and successful project execution.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical, electrical, civil, and system design while working on impactful projects within the oil & gas, manufacturing, or construction sectors.

Duties

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Assist in the creation and review of project documentation including specifications, reports, and presentations utilizing Microsoft Office tools like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Support project management activities by updating schedules with Microsoft Project and tracking project progress against deadlines.
- Conduct analysis using MATLAB, Python, or other software to validate design concepts and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Participate in construction inspections and site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate drafting efforts for mechanical, electrical, civil, and system designs while maintaining consistency with project requirements.
- Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams through clear documentation and presentation skills.
- Assist in product development initiatives by providing engineering support for prototypes and testing laboratories.
- Maintain organized records of all design files, revisions,



and technical documentation for easy access and version control.
- Support maintenance activities by reviewing schematics and troubleshooting system issues during operation phases.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in engineering design coordination within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Robust mechanical knowledge complemented by familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and system design principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks; experience with MATLAB or Python is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are advantageous.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities including scheduling with Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience with construction inspection is highly desirable.
- Strong analysis skills combined with mathematical aptitude to interpret data accurately.
- Familiarity with the oil & gas industry standards is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate computers efficiently using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Outlook; basic computer operation skills are essential.
- Experience with drafting tools such as Revit or MicroStation along with mechanical engineering concepts will be beneficial.
