Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Logistics Planning Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing warehouse distribution, transportation management, and order fulfillment processes. Your expertise will help streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of products across various channels.

Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistics plans for warehouse distribution, transportation, and shipping & receiving activities to meet operational targets.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and transportation management systems to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and manage order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize materials management, pricing strategies, and demand planning.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for freight arrangements, warehousing solutions, and process improvements.
- Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, and implement best practices in supply chain operations.
- Oversee shipping & receiving procedures, including order picking, packaging, and forklift operations to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Support procurement activities by sourcing materials,
managing vendor relationships, and negotiating pricing to maximize cost savings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, materials management, or supply chain planning with a strong understanding of warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, and transportation management systems.
- Knowledge of freight logistics, 3PL partnerships, shipping & receiving processes, and demand planning techniques.
- Solid data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets for process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with procurement, sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and e-commerce logistics is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, packaging, and materials management tasks.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate across departments including procurement, warehouse teams, and transportation providers.
