Experience

- 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
- 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
- Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements

- Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
- This role may require floating to additional units and locations
Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
- COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
- COVID booster required after submission.

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit.

Holiday RTO:



Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Years). Managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed.

Prior to signing, the Dys exam (UNA) is required to be sent along with acceptance. This must be completed within 24-48hrs. It’s pass or fail and they get two attempts (test a should be assigned first and if not passed, test b should be assigned for the retake). A screenshot showing the number of attempts is also req.

If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ and if your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for 6 months with CommonSpirit AZ and Sacramento Region.

MST Neuroscience Unit

Weekend Requirement Every other weekend

Holidays Rotate in with core staff

Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.

Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. Could also float to tele and MedSurg floors.

Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CVA, neuro surgical, neuro medical, and MST overflow patients.

Facility holidays: 12/25/2025, 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission
