Shape the future of Selkirk's infrastructure as a Municipal Engineering Technologist! This permanent position is ideal for skilled professionals dedicated to community service and development. In this role, under the guidance of the Director of Operations, you'll oversee surveying and drafting activities for municipal projects.
You will ensure city plans are up-to-date, conduct and prepare detailed surveys, and provide essential data to stakeholders. Your expertise will also support the city's asset management program and enhance local infrastructure services. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain current city plans and other documentation
- Perform various surveys including line and topographic surveys
- Prepare sketch plans and technical drawings for projects
- Supervise construction efforts for capital projects
- Contribute to the City’s Emergency Plan as needed Requirements:
- Grade 12 Education and relevant engineering technology diploma
- 1-2 years in municipal engineering roles
- Experience with AutoCAD and GPS surveying tools
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License
