The company is now seeking a senior leader who can bring clear direction to that responsibility and strengthen how logistics, customs, and international trade are managed across the organization. The National

Manager, Logistics, Customs & Trade Compliance will lead a function that sits at the intersection of supply chain performance, regulatory responsibility, commercial decision-making, and organizational risk. This is not simply a transportation-management position, nor is it a narrowly defined compliance role. You will shape the policies, controls, relationships, and operating practices that govern how products move into, out of, and across the business.

You will oversee transportation strategy, customs administration, tariff classification, export controls, sanctions requirements, broker and carrier relationships, internal audits, and the development of the people responsible for carrying out this work. The position will also serve as a trusted source of guidance for senior leadership and for colleagues across supply chain, operations, engineering, finance, and other departments. When regulations change, a shipment presents an unusual risk, a classification is challenged, or a process needs to be improved, your judgement will help determine the right course of action.

governed, and improved. Define the national strategy for logistics, customs, and trade compliance. Translate regulatory and operational requirements into practical policies, procedures, controls, and performance expectations.

Provide informed recommendations to executives and functional leaders on trade-related risks, obligations, and business decisions. Create greater consistency across locations, departments, service providers, and international shipments. Oversee the company’s compliance with Canadian, U.and applicable international customs requirements.

Maintain effective control over tariff classification, importer-of-record responsibilities, customs documentation, and verification activity. Direct the administration of free-trade agreement requirements and certificate-of-origin processes. Maintain appropriate oversight of C-TPAT and other applicable supply chain security programs.

Direct

Export and Import Compliance Provide senior oversight of Canadian and U.S. export-control and sanctions obligations. Advise the business on controlled products, destinations, end users, and other trade-related considerations. Act as a senior company contact when regulatory agencies require information, clarification, or action.

Guide Transportation Strategy

Direct domestic and international transportation activity across air, ocean, ground, and courier services. Establish clear expectations for carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners. Lead significant commercial negotiations and service-provider agreements. Improve freight costs, transit performance, shipment visibility, and service reliability without compromising compliance. Address escalated transportation issues and recurring service problems.

Strengthen

Controls and Processes Develop internal controls that reduce customs, logistics, financial, and regulatory exposure. Oversee audits, reviews, corrective actions, and process-improvement initiatives. Identify gaps before they become shipment delays, customer concerns, financial costs, or compliance findings.

Guide the adoption and improvement of digital tools, reporting practices,



and supporting systems. Use operational data to identify patterns, measure performance, and support better decisions. Provide direction, coaching, and professional development to logistics and trade compliance employees.

Build a team that combines regulatory discipline with sound operational judgement. Work closely with supply chain, engineering, operations, finance, and other business leaders to resolve complex matters.
