Solution Architect Level Required (Intermediate/Senior):

Senior The Solutions Architect scope will be focused on the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program - Maximo Implementation and other asset-based, business-critical technology solutions related to the Region’s Enterprise Asset Management Strategy. Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Team and dedicated to the Enterprise Asset Management Program, the Solutions Architect oversees the solution design, technology development efforts, standards and policy development in furtherance of the overall EAM vision and organizational change management. The architect partners with key client stakeholders, technology leadership and project delivery teams to determine which technologies to use and drive the implementation of secure and robust end-to-end solutions.

Provides expert advice based on in-depth architectural analysis which involves analyzing the technical environment, enterprise-wide and business requirements. Leads the preparation of technical plans and, in liaison with the IT Enterprise Applications team ensures that appropriate technical resources are made available. Provides expert advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.), anticipating client needs and taking appropriate action ensuring that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.

Plans, creates, designs drawings,



designs specifications and presents IT solutions workflows, and network architecture diagrams. Facilitates small to large group meetings for reviewing technical architecture, decision making and problem solving. Advocating to improve end-to-end IT solutions across the Region.

Provides specialized guidance and advice to the IT Enterprise Applications delivery teams. Assesses and recommends relevant approaches to short-medium term solutions, including recommendations for subsequent phases to align with more complex long-term technology transitions. Monitors the external workplace and evaluates emerging technology, public sector and market trends. appropriate timing and deployment.

Relevant post-secondary education in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 8 years of related and progressive experience, preferably architecture experience in solutions design, technical design, engineering and software architecture design, database design and EAM (IBM Maximo) platforms. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with IBM Maximo Asset Management including asset life cycle including inventory, contracts, purchasing, resources, work management, preventive maintenance and security.

Experience implementing solutions on large projects with solid understanding on data, security, resilient systems design, integration and application development. Solid experience with a variety of architectural and asset management technologies/frameworks.
