Position Overview

Experience

- A minimum of three (3) years ofrecent clinical nursing experience, including home care nursing, medicine, surgery or applicable general acute care areas required.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and clinical skill development required.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
- Experience as a preceptor or mentor within the last three (3) years preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with effective collaboration within and between programs, agencies and services preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

- Graduate from an approved Registered Nursing Program required.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Certification in Adult Education an asset.
- Completion of Wound Care Level 1 & 2 courses preferred.
- International Interprofessional Wound Care (IIWCC) course preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

- Responsible to maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and be a member in valuable standing.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g.



Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
- Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License, or equivalent from province of residence, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service is required.

- Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of word processing, email and internet software required.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).

Physical Requirements

- Moderate to heavy physical effort required.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
