Become a Nurse Practitioner focusing on Mental Health and Substance Use with NTHSSA in Yellowknife. Engage with communities to provide vital mental health support and interventions. You will play an essential role by collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including Physicians and Community Health Nurses, to deliver integrated mental health and substance use services. Your focus on accountability and health promotion will enhance well-being across communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver health assessments and medical treatment for clients
- Coordinate the Medical Detox Service intake process
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams
- Provide education, advocacy, and rehabilitative care
- Support injury illness prevention initiatives
Requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification
- Preferred 2 years of mental health nursing experience
- Post-master's certification (PMHNP-BC) preferred
- Current registration or eligibility for CNNN registration
- Commitment to pursuing additional psychiatric certifications
