Onboarding & Training Specialist (Financial Advisors)

Responsibilities:
Deliver an exceptional onboarding experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Advisors throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated transition.
- Develop customized transition plans tailored to each Advisor's business model, objectives, and operational needs.
- Coordinate onboarding activities across internal teams to ensure timely execution and a consistent Advisor experience.
- Analyze Advisors' books of business to identify potential challenges and proactively implement appropriate solutions.
- Assess existing workflows and develop transition roadmaps aligned with the organization's systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proactive communication with Advisors, providing regular updates, setting expectations, and guiding them through each stage of the transition.
- Monitor project milestones and ensure transitions remain on track from start to finish.
- Build trusted relationships that foster confidence and create a positive onboarding experience.
Equip Advisors for long-term success
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions on the organization's systems, platforms, and operational processes.
- Develop training materials and learning resources to support both new and existing Advisors.
- Assess Advisors' progress throughout their onboarding journey and provide additional coaching and support as needed.
- Provide on-site assistance during key phases of the transition to ensure a successful implementation.
Drive operational excellence
- Support Advisors in transitioning their client accounts with minimal disruption to their business.
- Collaborate closely with Compliance, Operations, IT, and other internal partners to ensure an efficient and compliant onboarding process.
- Identify opportunities to enhance onboarding processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to transition activities, training materials, and Advisor feedback.
What you will need to succeed:
- 5 years of experience in the investment industry, within a securities or mutual fund brokerage environment.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across Canada as required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat and the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms and internal systems.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, advisor onboarding, project coordination and client service best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in English and French to support Advisor onboarding, training, and collaboration with internal teams across Canada.
