Role Description
The Operations Manager, Restaurants and Property is a full-time, in office role based in Toronto, ON. This role oversees day-to-day operations of restaurant tenancies and associated property assets, ensuring smooth service delivery, high-quality guest experiences, and effective coordination between tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include monitoring facility conditions, managing maintenance and repairs, supporting capital projects, and enforcing health, safety, and regulatory standards across the properties. The Operations Manager will also assist with budgeting, cost control, and reporting, optimize operational processes, and contribute to strategic planning for restaurant and property performance. Collaboration with leasing, finance,
and development teams is expected to support long-term asset value, tenant satisfaction, and alignment with Woodcliffe's design-led, community-focused vision.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in operations management within hospitality, restaurants, property management, or mixed-use real estate environments.
- Strong skills in vendor and contract management, facilities oversight, and coordination of maintenance and repair activities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and use of operational or property management software tools.
- Ability to manage regulatory compliance, including health and safety standards, building codes, and applicable municipal requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with tenants, service providers, and internal teams.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Leadership capabilities, including team supervision, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
- Post-secondary education in business, hospitality management, real estate, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with heritage properties, design-led development, or urban mixed-use environments is an asset.
- Comfort working on-site in Toronto, ON, with flexibility to respond to operational needs outside standard business hours when required.
