Make a difference at the Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre as a part-time Emergency Shelter Worker. Provide essential support to vulnerable individuals during afternoon shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring client safety and aiding individuals in their journey towards secure housing.

You'll work collaboratively with other Emergency Shelter Workers and support teams while employing trauma-informed approaches in all interactions. This position requires adaptability to different areas within the facility as needed. Key Responsibilities:

- Engage clients in housing discussions to meet their goals
- Ensure a safe environment for all clients in the shelter
- Conduct wellness checks and maintain logs for client progress
- Assist in training new Emergency Shelter Workers
- Communicate clients' needs with medical and support teams Requirements:
- Must have a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources for homelessness
- Experience in high-stress situations preferred
- Willingness to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs Support vulnerable populations and promote a safe, welcoming environment as part of a dedicated team.
