The Melfort Curling
Club is seeking an Ice Technician to oversee ice preparation for a six-sheet facility. Candidates should have some ice-making experience and an interest in curling. The role involves independent work, ensuring all ice conditions meet league and event standards, while benefiting from funded training opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and remove curling ice
- Flood, pebble, scrape, nip, and monitor ice
- Ensure consistent conditions across all sheets
- Prepare ice for leagues, youth programs, and events
- Operate and maintain ice-making equipment Requirements:
- Interest in or participation in curling
- Experience as an ice technician is a plus
- Willingness to attend funded technician courses
- Ability to perform physical tasks independently
