We are looking for Information and Communications Technology design professionals with specific experience in structured cabling, network infrastructure and some experience in either Security or AV system design. Applicants should have a working knowledge of how to create a set of design documents in Revit and AutoCAD, what to look for during a site visit, and how to effectively communicate with clients by phone, email and in person. The day-to-day work will involve applying technical skills and knowledge to create high quality deliverables and will include collaboration with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
Stantec has a multitude of opportunities to work with a variety of project types, ranging from upgrading a clinic for a health authority to massive campus environments for some of the largest technology companies in the world. These can include standards development to 3D printing prototypes and VR modeling. Our office also has a variety of committees to give people a chance to get together in social settings.
Designs must meet local,
provincial, and federal code requirements. Collaboration and coordination with Project managers and other design team members. Be able to communicate with manufacturers and contractors to address challenges and develop realistic solutions.
Provide contract documents that meet required codes and quality assurance standards. All deliverables are subject to a Quality Assurance and Quality Control review. Attend site visits, out of office client meetings as needed.
Proactively expand your skillset with cross training in related disciplines and by attending inhouse or external training. Actively participates in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support Business Center and company goals. Hybrid work schedule, with flexible hours depending on deliverables and project requirements.
Strong working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software; in particular, AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP. Relevant design experience in projects of diverse types and sizes including high rise commercial office, high rise residential, hospitality, health care, civic, educational, data center and outside plant infrastructure. Familiarity with Network, Wireless, Access Control, and Audiovisual Design requirements.
Ability to prepare detailed design drawings with supervision. Ability to integrate design elements with architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to deliver a coordinated design. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
