Are you a Talent Acquisition Lead with experience managing senior-level and niche recruitment while leading Talent Acquisition projects, driving process improvements, and supporting AI-enabled recruitment solutions?
Partner with leaders, hiring managers, the Director, and the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition, to enhance recruitment effectiveness, advance Talent Acquisition transformation initiatives, and deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
In this role, you'll be responsible for facilitating end-to-end sourcing, recruitment, and selection practices and processes. Your duties will include conducting market analysis, making recommendations, negotiating offers, providing guidance to hiring managers, ensuring compliance with legal standards, sourcing candidates through various channels, building talent pipelines and candidate relationships, maintaining data integrity, and driving continuous improvement across recruitment practices.
You'll also lead and support Talent Acquisition projects focused on process enhancement, operational efficiency, and recruitment effectiveness, while supporting the implementation of AI-powered recruitment tools and Talent Acquisition transformation initiatives.

Talent Acquisition
- Accountable for managing roles that are aging and niche, ensuring that they are effectively filled to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Manage senior-level positions throughout the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to ensure alignment with the requirements.
- Provides comprehensive support throughout the recruitment cycle, including shortlisting, resume screening, and interviewing.
- Ensures compliance with legal requirements and policies.
- Works closely with hiring managers to align position specifications and competencies.
- Leads and coordinates large-scale and high-volume recruitment initiatives, ensuring project milestones, timelines, and hiring objectives are achieved.
- Partners with leaders and stakeholders to identify recruitment challenges, develop solutions, and implement strategies that support talent needs.
- Balances recruitment delivery with participation in strategic Talent Acquisition and Human Resources initiatives, ensuring operational and project priorities are effectively managed.
- Reviews existing recruitment processes and practices, identifies opportunities for improvement, and recommends enhancements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Builds relationships with hiring managers and leadership teams to uphold recruitment integrity.
- Manage candidate communication and interview scheduling.
- Reviews and evaluates interview questions and tests for validity.
- Coaches hiring manager on unbiased assessment methods.
- Designs job-specific questionnaires and conducts telephone interviews.
- Manages candidates throughout the interview process.
Strategic Talent Sourcing and Recruitment Strategy
- Develops and executes targeted talent attraction and engagement strategies for departments and faculties by conducting stakeholder consultations, market research, and talent mapping activities.
- Partners with leadership teams and hiring managers to identify talent needs, provide recruitment market insights, and develop effective hiring strategies that support departmental and institutional objectives.
- Gains an in-depth understanding of departmental operations and business requirements to provide consultative recruitment support and proactive sourcing solutions.
- Builds and maintains relationships with prospective candidates and talent communities to strengthen talent pipelines and promote a positive employer brand and candidate experience.
Project Management and Data Analysis
- Responsible for talent acquisition projects, with a focus on process enhancement and optimization to meet evolving institutional requirements and enhance recruitment effectiveness
- Analyzes metrics and data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and areas for improvement in recruitment and talent acquisition processes and makes recommendations for process improvement
- Supports the development, testing, and continuous improvement of AI-powered Talent Acquisition agents and solutions
- Develops and delivers presentations, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Leads the development and presentation of Talent Acquisition initiatives, projects, and process enhancements to support organizational priorities.
- Collaborates with the Associate Director and Director, Talent Acquisition, to identify, evaluate, and implement continuous process improvements that enhance recruitment effectiveness and service delivery.
- Negotiates compensation with candidates and conducts a thorough analysis to ensure that Seneca’s offers align with market standards while maintaining internal equity and compensation practices
- Creates job postings and interview questions that captures the requirements of the selection criteria.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Collaborates and partners with Human Resources teams and key stakeholders to support cross-functional projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives, fostering positive relationships and alignment to achieve organizational objectives.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of talent acquisition branding strategies with overall institutional branding efforts
- Collaborates and builds relationships with hiring managers and leadership teams to uphold recruitment integrity
What you bring to Seneca
- 7+ years of experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes for senior-level positions, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Previous experience supporting faculty hiring within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment is preferred
- Leads Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives focused on process enhancement, operational efficiency, recruitment effectiveness, and the implementation of innovative solutions that support organizational objectives.
- Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to Talent Acquisition team members on recruitment processes,
procedures, policies, and Collective Agreement requirements to ensure consistent and compliant hiring practices.
- Prefer recruitment experience in a unionized environment.
- Proven track record of managing talent acquisition projects related to process enhancement, recruitment effectiveness, and continuous improvement
- Experience identifying and implementing innovative recruitment solutions, with an interest in exploring AI-enabled tools to improve Talent Acquisition effectiveness and service delivery
- Experience developing and executing strategic hiring plans aligned with organizational goals, including stakeholder engagement, market analysis, talent branding and long-term talent forecasting.
- Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or any other related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
