Role Description The Pharmacist is a part-time, on-site role based in Haliburton, ON. The Pharmacist will dispense and verify prescriptions, provide medication counseling, and offer skilled advice on over-the-counter products and health services.

Responsibilities include performing clinical services such as medication reviews and vaccine administration (where applicable), monitoring for drug interactions, and supporting safe and effective therapy. The role also involves maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring regulatory and company compliance, supervising pharmacy assistants or technicians, and contributing to a clean, organized, and customer-focused pharmacy environment.



The Pharmacist will collaborate with other health care professionals and support store programs that promote wellness in the community.

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) or eligibility for licensure in Ontario.

Strong clinical pharmacy skills, including prescription verification, medication therapy management, and assessment of drug interactions.

Customer service and communication skills to provide clear medication counseling and build trusting relationships with diverse patients.

Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple prescriptions, clinical services, and documentation accurately.

Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing systems, electronic health records, and basic computer applications.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards of practice, and third-party billing processes.

Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy team members and other health care professionals in a rapid-paced environment.

Experience with immunization services, chronic disease management, or community pharmacy programs is an asset.

Willingness to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
