Embark on an cutting-edge research journey as a PhD student specializing in remote sensing data analysis at Natural Resources Canada. Contribute to groundbreaking projects while working remotely. This three-year research affiliate program at Natural Resources Canada allows you to engage in advanced geomatics research.

You will acquire and analyze hyperspectral and multispectral datasets, develop AI/ML methods for mineral identification, and apply your knowledge in geospatial analysis. As part of the Geological Survey of Canada, you will make substantial contributions to predictive exploration models. Key Responsibilities:

- Acquire and organize geological and remote sensing datasets
- Conduct imagery preprocessing and analysis for mineral mapping




- Develop workflows for spectral feature extraction and classification
- Implement AI/ML techniques for data analysis
- Prepare maps and technical figures for reporting Requirements:
- Master's degree in geomatics or related field
- Enroll in PhD program at University of Calgary
- Background in hyperspectral image classification
- Knowledge of AI/ML algorithms for imagery analysis
- Familiarity with satellite data processing techniques Apply your expertise in remote sensing and AI/ML techniques to advance research at Natural Resources Canada and contribute to sustainable development.
