Job Summary Medcan Health Management is looking for a Family Physician to join a rostered family practice in Markham at 600 Cochrane Drive. Role Practice will be scheduled for a minimum of 3 days a week in clinic from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. What You’ll Do - Provide in‑depth, compassionate and preventative primary care to a relatively small roster of patients.
- Build strong relationships and understand all aspects of each patient’s health and wellness.
- Identify insights from same‑day testing to deliver clinical recommendations.
- Create comprehensive diagnoses and treatment plans that leverage our referral partners – referral process handled by our team.
- Participate in daily lunches, on‑site continuing medical education, and product development initiatives. What You’ll Need - Service‑mindful approach to comprehensive care.
- Cooperative, empathetic working style with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to work at least 3 days per week at Medcan.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Active OHIP billing number.
- CCFP, CCFP (EM), or FRCPC designation.
- Experience in preventive care and wellness (asset).
Compensation & Practice Model Physicians serve as consultants providing proactive, relationship‑based care that extends beyond OHIP services. Rates vary by service offered. Uninsured services, including asynchronous advice, prescription management, proactive follow‑ups, and comprehensive preventive assessments, contribute to earnings.
