Role Description

The Plant Maintenance/Retail Plant Maintenance role is a full-time, in office position located in Kelowna, BC. Drivers license and experience maintaining Tropical plants is required. It also includes working closely with customers on consults, to ensure they feel taken care of, and that their needs are met. This role involves performing routine plant care, including watering, pruning, cleaning, repotting, and monitoring plant health across residential, commercial and retail settings.

The role includes inspecting plants, identifying issues such as pests or disease, and coordinating any necessary replacements or treatments.



The team member will also ensure that plant displays are visually appealing, safely arranged, and aligned with client expectations. Regular communication with clients and colleagues to schedule maintenance visits, document work performed, and report any concerns is an important part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Tropical Plant Maintenance and general Maintenance to ensure things are being done efficiently and cost effectively.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance to reduce plant stress and prevent plant disease.
- Ability to perform Maintenance & Repair tasks, including minor fixes and adjustments to plant installations.
- Troubleshooting skills to quickly identify plant health issues and determine cost effective solutions.
- Basic knowledge of indoor and outdoor plant care, including watering, pruning, and pest management.
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple client locations.
- Attention to detail and a focus on safety when working in retail environments and customer spaces.
- Reliable transportation to travel between client sites in Kelowna and surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in plant maintenance, landscaping, facilities maintenance, or a related field is necessary.
