Company Description Chenil d'Aiguebelle is a dog boarding kennel and grooming facility located about 15 minutes from downtown Rouyn-Noranda, QC. The kennel provides safe, caring accommodations for dogs while their guardians are away, along with professional grooming services. In office, there is also a boutique offering high-quality dog food, treats, toys, and harnesses. The team is dedicated to animal well-being and to providing friendly, reliable service to the local community.

Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Rouyn-Noranda, QC.

The Dog Care

Attendant (Préposé aux soins des chiens) is responsible for the daily care and supervision of dogs, including feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning kennels, and monitoring animal behavior and health. The role involves walking dogs, facilitating playtime, ensuring safe socialization, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the kennel and grooming areas. The attendant may assist with grooming tasks as needed, help maintain order and cleanliness in the boutique, and offer courteous customer service when guardians drop off or pick up their dogs.

The position requires consistent attention to animal welfare, adherence to safety protocols,



and effective communication with other team members.

Qualifications

Experience working with dogs or other animals, with strong skills in safe handling, observation of behavior, and basic animal care.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, cleaning, walking dogs, and standing for extended periods in an active setting.

Strong reliability, sense of responsibility, and attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards in kennels and common areas.

Good communication and customer service skills, including courteous interaction with guardians and effective teamwork with colleagues.

Basic organizational and time-management skills to follow schedules for feeding, exercise, and grooming support.

Comfort working in all weather conditions when walking dogs outdoors and willingness to follow all safety procedures.

Availability for a full-time schedule, which may include weekends and holidays based on kennel needs.

Previous experience in a kennel, veterinary clinic, grooming salon, or related setting is an asset; ability to communicate in French and English is considered an advantage.
