Senior Level Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers Design Engineering Market: Transportation Part Time As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be a part of a growing team that supports all aspects of the construction process by performing innovative design engineering through brainstorming conceptual designs, performing and/or reviewing structural calculations, developing plans, scheduling tasks to meet client needs, as well as mitigating risk to keep our construction crews safe.

Particularly on large design-build projects, clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. We are an in-house resource that supports projects throughout the company.

Leads team in advanced solutions to complex civil/structural issues Develops major project or proposal with no supervision.
Assists others to structure and solve technical issues. Develops creative solutions to complex problems. Serves as Kiewit representative in external organization and committees. Identifies changes in scope of work during a large project and produces documents to stay within budget and schedule.
Leads quality check of engineering and design of major projects to ensure accuracy. Sets the example for exceptional performance. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering minimum required. ~Travel- Knowledgeable in engineering software, such as Staad Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, spMats, and Mathcad. ~ Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES records preferred ~ Continually improves efficiency and performance. ~ Serves as technical resource to projects and estimating. ~ Continuously improves efficiency and performance. ~ Involves less experienced engineers in issues to foster training of others. ~ Actively seeks feedback from customers and takes action to improve processes. ~ Proactively looks for solutions to improved quality, cost and safety.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work overtime and weekends as required.
