We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to an individual who is confined to a wheelchair. HCA certificate required with mobility lift transfer experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving/Companion Care.
This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for an individual with Muscular Dystrophy ensuring his safety, comfort, and dignity. This home is non smoking and a NON perfume zone. We have a small dog
Duties
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with meal preparation
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client for any change in health status.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a secure living space.
- Assist with mobility and transfers with ceiling lift and sling
- Support client confined to Electric Wheelchair with his daily care needs
- Document daily activities and report any significant changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving IS required, HCA certified and Criminal Check required
- Knowledge of patient care practices and familiarity with working with people with disabilities is essential.
- Strong communication skills with fluent English and the ability to work effectively with client
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others and energetic
- Fit and ability to perform physical tasks related to caregiving,
- Basic First Aid is a plus
- Full time Day position Mon to Fri 9am to 4:30
- Part time position, evenings 8 pm to 10pm and weekend morning shifts 9 am to 11am also available, join our team of dedicated caregivers who make a difference in the lives of those we serve every day!
