Our mission in the Brand pillar is to make it easy for Brands to create high-quality product listings on Faire, keep them up to date, and get them in front of retailers. As a Product Engineer on the Brand pillar, you will be responsible for planning and building features end-to-end, working alongside product, design, and data to achieve our mission.
You are excited about learning how our customers' businesses work, and what they need in order to succeed You are entrepreneurial and data-driven, with a solid product sense You effectively balance your excitement for building features with a focus on the long-term maintainability of those features You want to use technology to help your local independent retailers and brands succeed You want to experiment with the best AI productivity tools on the market to help accelerate customer impact Collaborate closely with product managers, designers,
and marketing to contribute significantly to the success of the business or the engineering platform Identify and capitalize on new opportunities, overseeing complex multi-phase projects across multiple teams and platforms from concept to implementation Build features across multiple stacks, potentially including Backend, Frontend, and Mobile Optimize web applications for peak performance and scalability, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, fast, and scalable code Mentor fellow engineers on both technical and product judgement Proficient in at least one of Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript. ~ Comfortable in agentic coding tools ~ Familiar with HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks/libraries like React, Next.js, etc. ~ A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience ~ Kotlin, Java, Javascript React, NextJS MySQL, CockroachDB AWS This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location.
Hybrid
Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
Specific
Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
