You have
- 5+ years in functional Business Intelligence (metrics, KPI, scorecard, etc) - 1+ year of experience in Product Management (with a Software Vendor) - Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Product vision, roadmap and advocacy - Product requirements specification - Customer interface: Handle problems, solicit needs and priorities, validate requirements, run beta programs, help develop references.
- Sales support: Provide product expertise on sales calls, help close major deals, and train sales reps - Consulting Services Support: Help develop training and methodologies for successful implementations.
- Development interface: Review designs, test plans and documentation, and prioritize bug fixes.
- Marketing support: Help Product Marketing with product positioning and messaging, competitive analysis, white papers and sales collateral, demos, webinars, conference presentations and analyst tours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional experience with business methodologies such as Balanced Scorecard and Six Sigma, and knowledge of organizational development.
- Experience with business analysis—using metrics, KPI dashboards, business intelligence and/or OLAP—is desired.
- A background including finance, product marketing, pre‑sales or post‑sales consulting, or software development is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills - Robust requirements gathering, definition and prioritization skills – ability to understand and represent the customers’ point‑of‑view - Ability to drive the success of the product vision through the company and into the market - Broad enterprise software industry and technology knowledge, from multi‑tier database application architecture, to competitive analysis, to working with system integration partners, to business methodologies - Ability to handle and defuse conflicting constituencies - Ability to understand our client’s broader product line and strategy and drive appropriate integration - Strong business data analysis skills Education: BS required, MBA a plus If you're not interested, but know someone who is, please help a current or former colleague in their career development by referring them.
