Extrusion Responsibilities
- Cooking kibble to meet the standards
- Working with QA to ensure all parameters are met
- Visual and calculated inspections of the product
- Electronic recording of run information
- Cleaning of the department daily and full sanitation at the end of the production week
Quality Assurance and Food Safety Responsibilities
- In office inspections
- Monitoring of production/sanitation activities
- Testing/inspection of kibble and incoming ingredients
- Record, review and completion of assigned documentation
- Bring forward and assisting in any concerns that directly affect the safety and quality of kibble
Dry Batching Operator Responsibilities
- Running the mill for the dry batches
- Keeping track of inventory levels and using First in First out
- Unloading bulk ingredients
- Detailed record keeping of operations during the day and any deviations
- Daily cleaning and end of week deep cleans
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Ability to meet food safety standards
- Ability to think independently and problem-solve
- Reliable daily attendance
Assets
- Manufacturing and/or food safety skills
- WHMIS Training
- Forklift Training
- Confined Space Training
- OHS Training
