The IVHC Director, Insights for Better Health is a key leader within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), partnering with system leaders to enable evidence‑, data‑ and experience‑informed decision‑making across the health system. Reporting to the Executive Director, Insights for Better Health, the Director contributes to the development and achievement of strategic priorities by identifying gaps, needs, and opportunities and translating them into actionable operational and business plans.
IVHC is a strategic initiative focused on improving health system outcomes by connecting data, analytics, finance, quality improvement, and operations to identify and act on opportunities for better value in healthcare delivery. As the initiative matures, dedicated leadership is required to guide its transition from project-based work into sustainable operational practice across the Saskatchewan health system.
The IVHC initiative presents a significant opportunity to strengthen Saskatchewan’s learning health system capabilities. Success will require senior leadership to build partnerships across organizational boundaries, translate insights into action, influence decision-makers, and support adoption of IVHC approaches as part of the system’s continuous improvement toolbox.
The Program
Director would work closely with Advanced Analytics, Finance, Quality Improvement, operational leaders, and partner organizations to ensure IVHC is embedded into decision-making processes and operational improvement efforts.

Education
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed and in good standing with a skilled association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Experience:
- Experience as a senior leader developing and leading innovative planning, performance, or improvement initiatives in a complex, multi stakeholder environment
- Experience with strategy development, operational planning, program and project management
- Experience supporting business or system transformation, including the use of data, measurement, and technology
- Seven (7) or more years in progressively responsible leadership roles
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan healthcare system and relevant legislation
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead others
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and financial skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, professionalism, and integrity
- Proven ability to collaborate and build partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Commitment to patient‑centred care, quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated commitment to a diverse, culturally competent, and culturally safe health system
- Knowledge of First Nations and Métis history in Saskatchewan and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
