We are looking for a Project Engineer to contribute to the design and execution of industrial and municipal water, wastewater treatment, biological sludge incineration, and digestion systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the detailed mechanical engineering scope, developing key technical documentation, preparing RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations for mechanical equipment, and ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical designs. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and other project stakeholders to successfully deliver projects in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform mechanical-related design of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring design quality while meeting project schedule, budget, and customer expectations.
- Execute required calculations for sizing, generate technical specifications, and perform technical bid evaluations for the fabrication/procurement of mechanical equipment including pumps, blowers, compressors, chemical feed systems, vessels/tanks, filters, piping systems, and valves.
- Engineer systems in compliance with engineering principles, customer standards and specifications, contractual requirements, and local applicable codes.
- Ensure all engineering designs, bills of material, and technical data are completely and accurately documented by reviewing associated engineering drawings and related documents.
- Coordinate activities related to process and mechanical design reviews, as well as project issue resolution (scheduling and technical) during design, construction, and start-up phases.




- Meet Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for project execution and documentation.
- Interface with project manager and customer on project and problem resolution.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a related engineering field.
- Water treatment or Oil & Gas industry experience
- Experience specifying and evaluating rotating equipment, piping, tanks, and manual valves.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs; and PFDs, including material balances.
- Experience with hydraulic design, including head and NPSH calculations for pump sizing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of water chemistry.
- Fluent in English; French is an asset.
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Expected Compensation Range:

100K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications,



in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
