Fire Alarm Estimator

Our GTA Branch is looking for an energetic Fire Alarm Estimator to work as part of our team performing design take-offs and building estimates. This is a branch office-based role working directly out of the Mississauga office 5 days a week.

Job Responsibilities

- Read electrical specifications related to fire alarm and life safety.
- Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings to determine equipment to be used as well as remark on any identified design flaws.
- Create quotes for contractors and building owners.

Job Requirements

- Electrical engineering technologist coupled with at least 5 years of industry experience.
- Practical experience working with fire alarm system control equipment and devices.
- Solid understanding of Building & Electrical Codes.
- Solid understanding of ULC standards as they apply to fire alarm controls.
- Familiarity with other standards relating to fire system installation (NFPA, CSA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must have a valid Provincial driver's license with a clean driving record.

Additional Desired Skills

- Experience working with Edwards fire alarm systems & equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.




- Practical AutoCAD experience is an asset.
- Strong detail-oriented, analytical and organizational skills.
- Adaptable to changing environments.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Self-motivator with a positive outlook.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision/self‑motivated and desire to work on a winning team.
