With exciting goals for the future of our organization, we are currently in search of a Project Manager to join us at our facility on Annacis Island in Delta. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced fabrication environment.

Reporting to the Director of our Marine Division , you will focus on the execution of a large-scale structural fabrication project. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery of complex modular assemblies, while working closely with our client’s integration teams and managing all aspects of schedule, cost, quality, and customer interface.

Highlights of job duties include:

Lead planning and execution of large-scale modular fabrication projects, including schedule, cost control, quality, and risk management.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer and coordinate internal resources across engineering, production, and logistics.

Ensure alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.

Review secured project requirements with party responsible for estimations

Initiate project within Ideal Welders organization

Prioritize project execution strategy

Collaborate with Ideal Welders department leads for resource requirements (i.e. production, detailing, quality, supply chain, etc.)

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence with clients

Manage customer relationships at a macro level





Coordinate third parties/vendors where necessary

Monitor project budgets and schedules

Project conflict resolution

Project close out, review and analysis

Here’s what we’re seeking in the successful candidate:

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex, multi-phase fabrication projects in a high-pressure setting.

Proven track record managing client relationships on major industrial projects clients in a highly regulated industry.

Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and make effective decisions under tight deadlines.

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent

Minimum of 7 years’ related experience

Experience with structural steel fabrication for shipbuilding applications is highly desirable An entrepreneurial and results-oriented attitude

Experience in estimation, budgeting, analysis, scheduling, specification review and adherence, and personnel coordination

Experience in business administration A general understanding of metal fabrication practices (cutting, welding, machining, testing)

A general understanding of procurement and supply chain principles and strategies

Commitment to customer service and workplace excellence

Ability and desire to utilize technology to streamline and improve processes

Ability to troubleshoot and creatively problem-solve

Ability to take initiative and translate customer and internal business needs into action plans

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Exceptional interpersonal skills A positive and team-oriented approach to work.



Dependable and trustworthy.

Ability to prioritize, manage time, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work well under pressure.

Highly motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:

Experience managing large-scale industrial fabrication projects, ideally in a multi-phase or cost-reimbursable environment, is highly desirable.

Structural steel block fabrication for shipbuilding or heavy industrial modular construction.

Managing logistics for large fabricated assemblies, including use of SPMTs, barge operations, or yard storage coordination.

Structural, modular fabrication

ASME, API, ASTM, CWB codes of construction

Review of assembly drawings, isometric drawings, 2D and 3D shop fabrication drawings

Project logistics, i.e. material receipt, product shipment etc.

Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Projects or others

Experience in working in a unionized environment and with multi-disciplinary trades
