Quality ManagerThe Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of quality assurance and control processes for design, construction and/ or setting. This position is based in Thunder Bay, ON.

What You Will Be Working On

- Preparing the Project Quality Plan and ITP’s and ensuring alignment with the project specific Project Execution Plan

- Support the implementation of CAR, NCR required from audit findings, in collaboration with the District Quality Manager

- Ensuring Code and Client fabrication, PWHT and NDE requirements are implemented and completed at field sites

- Responsible for documentation review, analysis, and maintenance including various reports, logs, test packages, certificates, NDE, and turnover documentation

- Experience in conducting quality audits and the management of subcontractor’s and their respective turnover requirements

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to enhance quality and efficiency

- Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Construction on matters related to the planning of QA activities required by the design and applicable codes and standards

- Provide QA/QC training and support to staff on quality standards and best practices. Promote a culture of quality and safety throughout the organization





- Manage and maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality processes, including procedures, reports, and records. Ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance. Coordinating the preparation and review of quality monitoring reports for Bird management and customer

- Performing quality reviews of tenders and addressing procurement quality related issues.

- Review subcontractor and supplier material to verify correct materials MTR’s, CRN’s and compliance with scope of work and code requirements.

- Involvement with evaluation and selection of suppliers and preparing supplier qualification records

- Leading project quality personnel and assisting with resolution to quality related issues and monitoring the performance of quality personnel and providing positive reinforcement.

- Lead internal and external audits and inspections. Prepare and review audit reports and ensure timely resolution of any identified issues or non-conformities.

- Lead the performance of self-assessments.

- Collecting data and providing inputs for the management review.

- Collaborate with other leaders within the organization to cultivate a robust quality-based culture, fostering excellence in each project and strengthening internal department relations.
