Overview

United Way Golden Horseshoe brings people and resources together to create stronger, healthier communities across Brant, Haldimand-Norfolk, Halton, Hamilton, and Niagara.

The Regional Director, Brant & Haldimand-Norfolk is the senior fundraising leader for the region, responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening community partnerships, and leading a high-performing fundraising team. This role develops and executes regional fundraising strategies, builds relationships with corporate partners, major donors, volunteers, and community leaders, and identifies new opportunities to grow United Way's impact. As a member of the Resource Development Leadership Team, the Regional Director helps shape organizational strategy while serving as a trusted ambassador for United Way throughout the Brant community.

Responsibilities

Lead fundraising strategy and revenue growth across Brant and Haldimand-Norfolk, with accountability for annual targets, forecasting, and long-term sustainability.

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing fundraising team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Build and grow strategic relationships with corporate partners, major donors, community leaders, and key stakeholders to increase investment and community impact.

Identify and secure new fundraising opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams that strengthen United Way's presence across the region.

Engage and support senior volunteers, including Campaign Cabinet, Major Giving Cabinet, Women United, and other volunteer leaders to maximize fundraising success and community influence

Collaborate across the organization to align fundraising strategies,



deliver an exceptional donor experience, and achieve shared organizational goals

Represent United Way Golden Horseshoe as the senior fundraising leader in the region, strengthening our visibility, reputation, and relationships throughout the community

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years’ progressive fundraising, business development, partnership development, or leadership experience, preferably within a complex nonprofit or community organization

Robust knowledge of the Brant community, with an established network of relationships and an understanding of the local business, philanthropic, and community landscape

Demonstrated success leading fundraising strategies, corporate partnerships, workplace campaigns, leadership giving, or major gift programs

Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams

Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills with donors, volunteers, executives, and community partners

Strong strategic thinking, financial management, forecasting, and performance management capabilities

Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills

Experience working with CRM systems, donor management platforms, and fundraising reporting tools
