Make a difference as a Registered Occupational Therapist with Boyle Street Community Services in Edmonton, Alberta. Deliver trauma-informed care and support vulnerable adult community members through client-centered occupational therapy. As a full-time permanent Occupational Therapist, you'll be a vital member of the Interdisciplinary Team at Boyle Street.
Your focus will include conducting assessments, developing care plans, and leading client groups that enhance life skills and overall well-being. You'll also provide guidance in navigating healthcare and housing resources while ensuring holistic support through collaboration with colleagues. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and monitor client progress
- Develop and lead life skills and wellness groups for clients
- Support clients in accessing community services and resources
- Provide trauma-informed care and uphold professional standards
- Participate in outreach events and community engagement activities Requirements:
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience supporting vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles
- Robust organizational skills and clinical judgment
- Valid First Aid certificate and up-to-date Police Check Empower individuals through innovative therapy practices and community support with Boyle Street Community Services.
