Help adults with developmental disabilities as a Relief Residential Counsellor for The Salvation Army. Work flexible schedule and provide supportive care in various community settings. This role involves planning individualized programs to promote independence for Service Users. You will assist with meeting physical, emotional, and psychological needs, ensuring a nurturing environment. Collaborate with team members to evaluate and implement treatment plans effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized programs to encourage independence
- Ensure physical needs such as food and shelter are met
- Assist Service Users with emotional and psychological support
- Manage daily logs and incident reports accurately
- Transport Service Users to required destinations Requirements:
- Two years post-secondary education in Human Services
- Current First Aid and CPR training required
- Experience with adults with developmental disabilities
- Understanding of medication administration protocols
- Criminal Records Check for vulnerable sectors needed Make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities at The Salvation Army while working flexible hours.
