Northland is powered by our people. What You’ll Do Role : Manager, Procurement, Solar and BESS - Americas. You will leverage Northland’s fast-growing North American renewables portfolio by maintaining strong connections with the supplier and contractor market, developing contracting strategies, and executing procurement campaigns in accordance with the Procurement Policy for projects across solar and energy storage technologies. You will be accountable for the preparation and execution of ITT/RFP, contract negotiations and contract management, while maintaining supplier relationships and supporting execution of the technology category strategies. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will work closely with projects in development and execution, equipment suppliers, EPC and project support contractors, and collaborate with internal stakeholders across Development, Engineering, Construction, Legal and Risk, ESG, and insurance management. The role requires the Toronto office presence 4 days per week. Key Responsibilities Lead relationships with key suppliers and contractors for renewables projects and assets; develop new suppliers via pre-qualification. Lead the development of procurement and contracting strategies for renewables projects in North America. Ensure procurement activities across projects comply with applicable legislation, ethical practices, ESG requirements, NPI HSSEQ requirements, the NPI Procurement Policy and the project maturation model.



Develop and implement standards for procurement in renewables projects aligned with maturation requirements. Mature an appropriate contracting suite to support project development aligned to the onshore development team and optimize TCO/LCoE. Support development and execution of negotiation strategies for renewables to strengthen NPI’s market position and financial performance. Develop project should-cost models, manage contractor performance, claims and variations, and supplier performance with construction teams. Support O&M in identifying and executing cost-savings to optimize third-party spend on renewable assets. Ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing is captured and reflected in contracts. Support project execution through contract management, especially in relation to variations and claims. Support non-procurement colleagues in the execution of low value and low risk spend across spend categories. Work with Project Management, PMO and Financial Risk Oversight to assess contract, supplier/contractor and market risks. Strong communicator in English with ability to influence internal and external stakeholders from varied backgrounds. Qualifications And Experience 7-10 years of experience on high-value CAPEX projects in Canada and the US, preferably in large industrial renewables projects. Solid background in solar,



storage and wind onshore renewables with relevant procurement or commercial education and experience. Recent experience tendering, negotiating, executing and managing equipment supply and EPC contracts. Knowledge of project management processes and experience driving lean processes while ensuring standards adoption and improvement. A strong network in the renewables industry is an advantage.
