What is the Opportunity?

The Senior Planner supports effective project delivery by developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and providing reliable schedule analysis to the project team. This role requires solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and close coordination with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Do Here
- Perform and/or coordinate, collect, verify, and integrate the work scope for all entities into the total project plan.
- Review the representation of project scope in schedules.
- Develop and maintain all required project schedules and ensure integrity of data across the entire project life cycle.
- Create and implement key scheduling requirements such as bespoke activity coding, naming conventions, client requirements management protocol, project calendars, and resource and plant data libraries.
- Support resource planning and analysis; forecast the requirement of labor, materials, and equipment over the project based on work-front analysis.
- Perform productivity analysis of construction operations and verify accordingly.
- Establish productivity baselines for estimates; review labor estimates for reasonableness.
- Prepare progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to internal and external clients.
- Analyze schedule variance, float, trending, and monitor schedule KPIs.
- Develop progress measurement processes and analyze progress and performance data.
- Manage schedule change notices and forecast project impact; implement corrective actions when performance trends deviate from baseline.
- Perform audits on schedules from subcontractors; prepare required output documents.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain, add, or modify schedule data and plans.
- Support schedule 5D integration with the 3D model and cost; report outputs including cash‑flow and sequence simulations.
- Create and maintain a collaborative, inclusive, respectful culture.
- Supervise, develop, and mentor project controls personnel (e.g., Project planners and planning coordinators).
What You Bring To The Team
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- 7–10 years of planning experience in heavy civil major projects.
- Proven experience and ability in planning, scheduling and managing complex projects.
- Proven problem‑solver with sound judgment who accepts ownership and accountability.
- Expert level knowledge of project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and TILOS.
- Experience with SAP, Hard Dollar, PowerBI, and Synchro is an asset.
- Availability to work fully in‑person 5 days per week.
Pay Range
$120,000–$150,000 (HR to confirm). Individual pay is determined based on location, education, experience, skills, and job conditions.
