Ready to suit up as a Retail Security Guard

As a Retail Security Guard, you will be the face of safety and customer service within the store. By maintaining a professional presence, building positive interactions with customers, and proactively addressing security concerns, you will help create a welcoming environment while supporting loss prevention efforts. Success in this role requires strong observation skills, confidence in de-escalating situations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

- Part-time opportunity with the following schedule: Saturday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM ( downtown Vancouver )

Responsibilities for Retail Security Guard

- Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and promote a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.
- Observe customer activity and identify potential loss prevention concerns while providing excellent customer service.




- Use strong communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and challenging situations professionally.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, documenting actions taken as required.
- Conduct regular patrols of the sales floor and surrounding areas to identify safety and security risks.
- Work closely with store management and law enforcement when required to support investigations and incident response.

Qualifications for Retail Security Guard

- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security license
- Hold a valid AST certificate - Required
- First aid certification - an asset
- Strong report writing and technology skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Physically able to stand and patrol for extended periods
- Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness
- Exceptional customer service skills
