Commercial Enterprise Full Time Toronto, ON Hybrid $80,000 - $120,000 CAD per year Risk Advisor, Financial Services Practice As a Risk Advisor within our Financial Services Practice, you will play a key role in expanding PROLINK’s national presence among financial services firms in Canada. You will develop a client base by positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to organizations navigating complex regulatory, qualified and operational risks. By developing deep knowledge of the financial services sector, you will advise clients on a broad range of property and casualty (P&C;) insurance solutions and risk management strategies.

You will also contribute to PROLINK’s thought leadership by supporting the development of articles, tools, and insights that address emerging risk and insurance issues relevant to the financial services community. As part of the broader Commercial Enterprise team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple industry practices.
Bi‑monthly Enterprise team meetings to share insights and best practices; Regular check‑ins with the Account Management team to support renewals and client service excellence. Provide strategic insurance and risk management advice designed to strengthen clients’ overall resilience. For mid‑market clients, this includes delivering PROLINK’s proprietary Panoramic Risk Assessment, aligning insurance programs and risk controls with each client’s broader business objectives.
Educate current and prospective clients on their risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance and risk management solutions that address their evolving needs.
Building
Lead business development efforts for the Financial Services Practice, with the long‑term objective of building niche expertise that reflects PROLINK’s differentiated value proposition and consultative approach. You will receive training in this approach, incorporating modern sales methodologies and behavioural science principles. Develop and execute a business plan for the financial services segment, including annual targets and long‑term growth strategy.
Business strategies, challenges, and risk exposures; Risk management and mitigation approaches; Attend industry conferences and events to strengthen market presence, expand networks, and stay current on sector trends. Collaborate with senior management and colleagues to deliver optimal client solutions and enhance win rates. Participate in the client renewal process alongside the Practice Leader and Account Management team.
Serve as a subject‑matter resource on industry trends, insurance solutions, and emerging risks affecting media and communications firms. Demonstrate responsiveness and advocacy, ensuring clients feel supported during urgent situations.
Oversee or participate in claims advocacy as required.
Ensure accurate, timely billing and collection within established timelines. Contribute to the development of risk management tools, white papers, webinars, and thought leadership content. Maintain accurate and current records in CRM and broker management systems.
Act as a positive corporate citizen by: Collaborating effectively across Commercial, Personal, and Life & Benefits teams; Building strong partnerships with insurers and underwriters;
Experience - Minimum of five years’ business experience in insurance, underwriting, business development, or a related field.
Experience with insurance buyers/clients in the financial services sector is an asset, as is experience in brokering or underwriting Financial Institutions insurance products.
