The team is comprised of many highly talented enthusiastic individuals who ensure the services and offerings from Kobo are available to both internal and external customers.Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Software Engineer Co-op will work with the Research and Development International team made up of developers and testers and take an active part in delivering high quality software to Rakuten Kobo’s users.The PersonA passion for software development and deliveryExcellent oral and written communication skillsHave a desire to work in a team but also be self-organising enough to be able to work on a task independentlyConstantly learning and self-improving mindsetThe SkillsetRequired:Some previous experience in and Object-Oriented Software Language such as C# or JavaAn understanding of T-SQL DatabasesExperience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)Some knowledge/experience with modern UI frameworks e.G.
