The role of a Junior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist is crucial to support this initiative by providing insights using analytical tools and techniques. The team is focused on optimizing data capabilities to drive impactful and informed decisions. Responsibilities

Develop and deliver analytics to support evidence-based decision-making. Collaborate with client groups to assess data analytics capabilities and future needs. Participate in the execution of analytics initiatives including reporting and data delivery.

Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms. Design data processing methods to generate accurate models. Communicate analysis results with transparent visuals and summaries. Facilitate documentation, testing,



and user training processes.

Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data validation. Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and joining. Expertise in SQL databases. Proven capability in developing visualizations in Microsoft Power BI. Preferred Experience

Experience with statistical modelling using R. Knowledge of land-use planning, child care, and Ontario Open Data. Experience integrating R Script into Microsoft Power BI. Skills in predictive analytics and dimensional data modelling. The position requires working three days on-site and two days remotely. Public sector experience is preferred. The role is part of a fixed-term contract with potential extension.
