The role of a Junior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist is crucial to support this initiative by providing insights using analytical tools and techniques. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Collaborate with client groups to assess data analytics capabilities and future needs.
- Participate in the execution of analytics initiatives including reporting and data delivery.
- Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
- Design data processing methods to generate accurate models.
- Communicate analysis results with explicit visuals and summaries.
- Facilitate documentation, testing,
and user training processes.

Requirements
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data validation.
- Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and joining.

- Knowledge of land-use planning, child care, and Ontario Open Data.

The position requires working three days on-site and two days remotely. Public sector experience is preferred. The role is part of a fixed-term contract with potential extension.
