Safety Advisor (Project-Based)

- - - Project-Based Opportunities | Western Canada | Fall Turnaround Season

Kinetic Safety is building our team of experienced Safety Advisors for upcoming turnaround and maintenance projects across Western Canada.

These are project-based positions (approximately 2–3 months) for professionals who enjoy working in the field, partnering with operations, and helping create protected, efficient worksites.

Who We're Looking For

You're someone who brings confidence to the field through experience, professionalism, and practical problem-solving. You know how to build relationships with crews while maintaining high safety standards, and you're comfortable balancing compliance with real-world operations.

In This Role You Will

- Support field operations with day-to-day safety leadership.
- Help ensure compliance with OH&S; legislation, client requirements, and company procedures.
- Observe work activities, identify hazards, and provide practical recommendations to reduce risk.
- Address unsafe acts and conditions while promoting a positive safety culture.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and field observations.
- Assist with incident investigations and help identify root causes and preventative measures.
- Track corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Participate in safety meetings, planning sessions, and pre-job discussions.




- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate safety information clearly with clients and crews.
- Stay current on changing legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications To be considered, you'll have:

- At least 8 years of experience in a Safety Advisor or equivalent role.
- Experience supporting industrial, oil & gas, civil, or plant operations.
- NCSO, CRSP, or an Occupational Health & Safety Certificate or Diploma.
- Valid H2S Alive, CSO, and Standard First Aid/CPR certifications.
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta occupational health and safety requirements.
- Confidence using computers and mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
- Flexibility to travel throughout Western Canada, work camp-based projects, and work rotational schedules in outdoor environments.
