Lakeridge Health is looking for a compassionate Social Worker to join their Mental Health team in Oshawa. This temporary full-time role involves working with children and youth facing psychiatric challenges.
As a Social Worker/Mental Health Clinician, you will provide comprehensive assessments, group psychotherapy, and discharge planning. Your role includes facilitating outpatient groups and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. You will work on improving interventions and continuity within the mental health system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients
• Provide group psychotherapy and individual family therapy
• Facilitate outpatient therapeutic groups weekly




• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for urgent care
• Participate in quality improvement committees and initiatives
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience with children and adolescents
• Certification with OCSWSSW or CRPO
• Robust crisis management and assessment skills
• Willingness to travel between sites as necessary
