This is a full time, year-round opportunity designed for aspiring arborists. You will engage in diverse responsibilities, from assisting in tree work to maintaining a safe and organized job site. This position is geared towards those eager to learn and grow towards becoming a Certified Arborist, with ongoing training provided by Davey Tree.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage lowering ropes and equipment during tree tasks
• Supply necessary tools for tree operations
• Control pedestrian and vehicle traffic as required
• Carry out daily tool maintenance checks
• Cut and load brush and wood materials
Requirements:
• Valid provincial driver’s license is mandatory
• Some background in arboriculture or horticulture preferred
• Desire to work toward gaining Arborist certification
• Must lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs
• Team-oriented and keen on learning
